The Experience
Experience a day in the life of an Airline Pilot at Blackbushe Airport with our new Boeing 737 flight simulator.
All sessions are customized to your experience level. Each booking includes a briefing. If you're new to aviation, we'll begin by explaining the basics.
Your briefing may include:
An introduction to the aircraft - During this time we will explain what the flight controls do and how they work. We will explain how to fly the aircraft using these controls and the basics of the autopilot.
Introduction to Aviation weather - We will have a look at real world weather and discuss how we choose the most suitable runway for take off and landing.
Flight planning - We will discuss which route we are going to take and why. We will also touch on fuel considerations, weather avoidance and turbulence.
Crew Resource Management and Multi Crew Cooperation - In short, this how we communicate with each other and work as part of a team in normal and abnormal operations.
For experienced individuals, we can talk about additional topics such as aircraft technical issues, different approach types, and emergency management. We can also use real-life weather conditions, charts, and flight plans as required.
If you would like to fly a specific route, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Our Boeing 737 Flight Simulator!
After months of planning our simulator has been upgraded to a dual seat Boeing 737 with wrap-around visuals.
Learn more about the upgrades below:
Flight Model and Systems: We use the Prosim-AR 737 Professional software for a realistic flight model and accurate system simulation.
Panels: The simulator panels are now made of aluminum. All switches, buttons, lights, and even the compass are fully functional.
Visuals: Experience realistic and immersive flying with a 180 degree wraparound screen and modern flight simulator software, offering you an excellent visual journey to explore the entire world.
Sound: We've installed surround sound in the simulator so you'll feel as though you're really sitting in the cockpit of a Boeing 737.
How long do we recommend?
To make the most of your flight simulator experience, we suggest booking for 1 hour and 30 minutes. This includes a 15-minute briefing and 1 hour and 15 minutes at the controls. If you have no prior flying experience, you'll have the chance to practice multiple takeoffs and landings and learn how to fly our Boeing 737 Flight Simulator. We'll also spend time on the autopilot and other aircraft systems.
If you're short on time, you can have a great introduction to flying a commercial airliner in just 1 hour. After a 15-minute briefing, you'll get 45 minutes to fly our Boeing 737 Flight simulator. During this time, you can take off, do some basic maneuvers, and practice a few landings.
At the end of the day, the time is yours and we will do all we can to make sure you get the most out of your Airline Pilot Experience.
